I\u2019m quite happy to see the old year fade into the past \u2013 it didn\u2019t end on the best note it might have \u2013 and I\u2019m going off for a few weeks to think about my options for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My destination is our bolt-hole in Goa, which has been neglected for too long, and I\u2019m looking forward to over-indulging in sunshine, curry, and meditation.<\/p>\n

There’s so much to see and do in the sunshine and the food is simply amazing.<\/p>\n

I love the way everything stops when a cow makes an enttrance. I have a video showing one of the revered beasts who comes to the same cafe at the same time every night and is given a cabbage or two.<\/p>\n

At other times (including rush hours) traffic grinds to a halt if one of the beasts decides to have a nap on the road!<\/p>\n

It’s along way to travel, but it’s worth it \u2013 so a happy New Year and a prosperous 2024 to you all.<\/p>\n
